โš ๏ธ W3C Working Draft Notice

WCAG 3.0 is an active W3C Working Draft in development by the AGWG. Requirements, assertions, the conformance model and reporting tiers are still being developed and may change. The latest published draft is the 10 September 2026 Working Draft; this site follows the editorsโ€™ draft, which also includes exploratory provisions.

developing Supplemental requirement

Text Customizations Retained

Group: text-and-wording • Guideline: text-appearance

Summary in Plain English

Where content can be exported, saved or printed, the user's own text-appearance customisations survive into the exported copy.

Why It Matters

Adjustments that vanish on export mean the saved copy is unreadable to the person who saved it - and they usually have no way to reapply them.

Scope: When This Applies

The draft's own conditions, quoted from guidelines/groups/text-and-wording/text-appearance/text-customizations-retained.md.

Applies when

  • the page/view can be exported, saved, or printed.
