WCAG 3.0 is an active W3C Working Draft in development by the AGWG. Requirements, assertions, the conformance model and reporting tiers are still being developed and may change. The latest published draft is the 10 September 2026 Working Draft; this site follows the editorsโ draft, which also includes exploratory provisions.
An organisational assertion: the organisation states that it identified the places where users make substantial decisions about money, privacy or wellbeing, and added support there - a clear layout of advantages and disadvantages, comprehension aids such as icons and graphics, and reduced distractions.
Why It Matters
High-stakes decisions are where poor comprehension turns into real harm. Extra support at those points protects people with cognitive disabilities from consequences that are hard to reverse.
