developing Core requirement

No Keyboard Conflicts

Group: input-operation • Guideline: keyboard-interface-input

Summary in Plain English

Custom keyboard commands must not clash with standard platform commands, or they must be remappable.

Why It Matters

A single-key shortcut that overrides a platform command can disable an assistive technology's own keys, which is worse than having no shortcut at all.
