developing Core requirement

Captions centered (immersive)

Group: images-and-media • Guideline: captions

Summary in Plain English

In 360-degree environments where the user controls where captions sit, the captions stay directly in front of the user as they look around.

Why It Matters

Captions anchored to a fixed point in the scene vanish the moment the viewer turns their head, which in an immersive environment is constantly.

Scope: When This Applies

The draft's own conditions, quoted from guidelines/groups/images-and-media/captions/captions-centered-immersive.md.

Applies when

  • the position of the captions is controlled by the user.
