WCAG 3.0 is an active W3C Working Draft in development by the AGWG. Requirements, assertions, the conformance model and reporting tiers are still being developed and may change. The latest published draft is the 10 September 2026 Working Draft; this site follows the editorsโ draft, which also includes exploratory provisions.
The text as authored - before any user adjustment - meets enhanced values for inline margin, block margin, line length and line height. The values themselves are still to be determined.
Why It Matters
Setting readable defaults means users do not have to know that adjustment is possible, which is most of them.
HTML: Check CSS to confirm that relevant style attributes (such as line height, letter spacing, word spacing, text align) are set within the values specified in the provision.
Non-web apps: Check GUI toolkit settings (or defaults) to confirm that they apply values within the designated range.
The default/authored presentation of blocks of text meets the enhanced @@ [values to be determined] for:
* inline margin
* block margin
* line length
* line height
