developing Core requirement

Automated Entry Allowed

Group: process-and-task-completion • Guideline: avoid-exclusionary-cognitive-tasks

Summary in Plain English

Automated entry of personal information is not blocked - whether from the browser, a third-party tool, or pasting.

Why It Matters

Blocking paste or autofill forces manual transcription of exactly the data that is longest and least memorable, which is a barrier for password manager users and people with cognitive or motor disabilities.

Scope: When This Applies

The draft's own conditions, quoted from guidelines/groups/process-and-task-completion/avoid-exclusionary-cognitive-tasks/automated-entry-allowed.md.

Notes in the draft

Personal information includes but is not limited to names and passwords.
