developing Core requirement

Audio Descriptions Synchronized

Group: images-and-media • Guideline: audio-descriptions

Summary in Plain English

Descriptions land in time with the video and do not talk over dialogue or other meaningful audio.

Why It Matters

A description that collides with the dialogue costs the listener both. Timing is what keeps the described version coherent.

Scope: When This Applies

The draft's own conditions, quoted from guidelines/groups/images-and-media/audio-descriptions/audio-descriptions-synchronized.md.

Except when

  • There are no audio descriptions.
